Everything's Nice with Roses & Spice

Makes 1 cocktail

1 1/2 oz. Bayou Spiced Rum
3/4 oz. Locally Preserved Satsuma Rose Syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 large egg white
soda or Champagne, to top
rose petals, for garnish

 

Combine rum, syrup, bitters, and egg white in a cocktail shaker. Dry shake hard and fast for 30 to 45 seconds. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a coupe glass. Add a splash of soda or Champagne and garnish with a rose petal.
