The Locally Preserved Mojito

Makes 1 cocktail

2 oz. rum
1/2 oz. lime juice
1 oz. Locally Preserved Mint Simple Syrup
3-4 berries (blueberry, strawberry, raspberry), lightly crushed, plus more for garnish (optional)
splash of club soda
1 sprig mint, for garnish

Combine the rum, juice, syrup, and crushed berries (if using) in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake and strain into a wine glass over several cubes of ice. Top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with berries and a sprig of mint.
